SANTA CRUZ, BOLIVIA—Journeys can lead you just about anywhere if you let them. Nathan Salveson began a new direction in his life with the goal of finding his father. Along the way he returned in front of the goal, in Bolivia.

Salveson is known in soccer circles as an Olympia guy, because he played for South Puget Sound Community College and then The Evergreen State College. The talented goalkeeper became one of the better indoor soccer ‘keepers in Washington while playing with the Tacoma Stars and Kitsap Pumas in the PASL. He also was Technical Director of the Oly Town Artesians of the WISL. But let’s get back to now. Now Nathan is in Bolivia. Saving goals.
