OLYMPIA, Wash. – Win and they’re in. The Oly Town Artesians host the Snohomish Skyhawks on Saturday night with a spot in the Western Indoor Soccer League playoffs on the line. The Artesians are looking to avenge a disappointing 7-5 loss to the Skyhawks three weeks ago and clinch at least the fourth seed in the playoffs in their regular season home finale.

The Artesians (3-4-1, 10 points) have enjoyed the cozy confines of The Pavilion at The Evergreen State College this season. Dubbed “The Circle” by WISL opponent Olympic Force, Oly Town is 3-1-0 on their unique home pitch, with wins over Olympic, the Tacoma Stars Reserves and Sporting Everett. Their one loss was a nail biting 9-8 decision to league leader Bellingham United two weeks ago.

Willie Spurr leads the way for the Artesians with 13 goals – ten of those at The Pavilion – and eight assists over seven games. In the seven games that he has played, the Artesians have a +1 goal differential (47 goals scored, 46 allowed). Goalkeeper JJ Olson has started every game in goal this season and is coming off the game of his career, notching 23 saves in a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to Tacoma. Injuries have been very costly for the Artesians with just four players making appearances in all eight games – Olson and defenders Brett Stallworth, Matt Herrera and Josh Dube.

Snohomish (2-4-2, 8 points) is led by former Artesian Brendan Rosgen’s eight goals, two of which came against Oly Town in their win in Snohomish on January 14th. The Skyhawks are coming off of a 12-9 loss to Olympic last week and would be eliminated from the playoffs with a loss and a Tacoma win in Bremerton.

Tickets for Saturday’s pivotal game are available in advance for just $5 by visiting http://www.olytownfc.com or at the door for $8 for adults. Game time is set for 6:00 PM and doors open at 5:15. The Berenstain Bears will make an appearance for the kids courtesy of OBee Credit Union.
