OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Oly Town Artesians host Yakima United on Wembley Soccer Shop Youth Soccer Night on Saturday, May 19th. The undefeated Artesians will give youth soccer players a $2 discount on their ticket when they wear their youth soccer jersey and players will get to accompany the teams on to the field during introductions and play on the field during halftime. First kick at Wembley Field at Black Hills High School is set for 6:00 PM.

The Artesians enter week three of the EPLWA season at 1-0-1 with four points and sit atop the Coastal Division ahead of the Seattle Stars and Vancouver Victory. Goalkeeper JJ Olson was named the EPLWA Defensive Player of the Week after making six saves against Seattle on Sunday. Olson has allowed just one goal in each game and has 16 saves in 180 minutes this season.

The defense has been solid in front of Olson, but Oly Town will be without defender TJ O’Connor for the next few weeks when he travels to play on the All-Air Force Soccer Team. Another Artesian, Alan Ibarra, is currently in training camp with the All-Army Soccer Team along with former Artesian Andy Hyres

Christian Segovia has scored a goal in each game this season and Daniel Gonzalez scored his first goal of the season on Sunday, a header that proved to be the game winner. JT Meyer and Charlie Spurr each have assists in the early going.

Yakima United is 0-2-0 going into their only meeting against the Artesians this season. They dropped a 1-0 decision at home to Columbia Division rival Tri-Cities Alliance last Saturday, and fell to the Victory, 2-1, in their season opener. Cesar Rodriguez scored their lone goal of the season and Briskans Shibale got the assist for the Hoppers. The Artesians went 1-0-1 against Yakima last season, drawing with them 1-1 in the season opener in Olympia and taking home a 3-1 win in Yakima.

Tickets for Saturday are $8 for adults, $5 for kids 5-12 years old, military and seniors, and kids under 5 are free. Kids in their youth soccer uniform get in for $2 off. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or take care of it early by purchasing at www.olytownfc.com/tickets. Fans and kids are encouraged to arrive early to take part in the pre-game introductions.
