- June 4 Double As Artesians Lead Standings
ATLETICA @ OLY TOWN | 1PM | JUNE 4 Oly Town returns to Olympia Sunday June 4th after a 3-1 victory over second place United PDX last Thursday to stay squarely in first place. Alexis Washington, McKenna Martinez and Ava Uribe each added goals in the victory. Kat Asman and Shu Ohba split time in goal in what would be Ohba’s final match in an Artesian jersey before returning to her college soccer program. Kellyn Green took home player of the match honors with Head Coach Chris Wells happy with her commanding presence on the back line.
The last time Oly Town met CFC Atletica it was just over a year ago in the Northwest Premier League (NWPL) Championship. Oly Town would go down early 1-0 but tied the game off a Brieanna Dell 89th minute goal. The Artesians would pull of an upset victory in the 2022 NWPL Cup when Oly Town Keeper Olivia Brock saved the final shot in the penalty shootout to take home 1st place.
Oly Town will be inducting Joshua Dube at halftime of the USL W League Match for 59 appearances across 2016-2023 in Arena League. Dube has been a player, captain, coach and community liaison for Oly Town over the years. This is the last time to pay homage to Josh before he moves to Wyoming with his wife Lindsay. Catch him on the USL2 live broadcast at 4PM as well.
