
OLYMPIA, WA – It was a busy weekend for Oly Town as Capital FC traveled to Olympia for the first time in history at Oly Town’s inaugural USL2 match, and both the Women’s NWPL and Men’s EPLWA teams traveled to Gig Harbor to face off against Oly-Pen Force.
In Oly Town’s USL2 match, it wasn’t until stoppage time in the first 45’ that Capital FC earned a PK and went up 1-0 going into halftime.

Right at the start of the second half, Jason Fairhust got around his man on the outside and put in a perfect cross to the box. Gilbert De La Luz put a head on it to make history and score the first ever Oly Town USL2 goal tying up the game 1-1.
Capital FC scored again, but in the 58’ Jason Fairhurst played another great cross into the box leading to yet another Oly Town Goal.
Before the end of the match Capital FC was able to get another one in the back of the net and went up 3-2. It was a great match for Oly Town’s first ever competitive league game.
In Gig Harbor, the Women’s NWPL team jumped out to a 4-0 lead against Oly-Pen Force and then held on to add a 4-1 win to their record. Brieanna Dell opened the scoring on a PK in the 16th minute. Moments later, Haylee ward got one in!

Before the second half was over, on a ball in from Brooke Streeter, Chelsie Still got one in the back of the net. Oly Town went into halftime up 3-0.
In the 51’, Dell got her second of the night on another great assist from Streeter. Oly-Pen force earned a PK and got on the board shortly after. Oly Town improved to 2-1-0!



After the NWPL game, the Men’s EPLWA took off. In the 12th minute, Oly-Pen earned a PK putting them on the board 1-0.
Before the half Oly-Pen got another in, and in the 65th minute secured their win 3-0 over Oly Town. Oly Town dropped to 1-1-2.
