Oly Town Falls Short Against In-State Rivals.

OLYMPIA, WA – On Monday, May 30th, Oly Town headed up to Ballard to face off against in-state rivals Ballard FC. In front of a crowd of 1,200 people Oly Town put up a great fight but fell short in the second half losing 3-0. Oly Town and Ballard will see each other on the field two more times before the season in complete – Sunday, June 12th and Thursday July 7th.

Both teams generated numerous chances throughout the first half. What looked to be a scoreless first half changed pace when Ballard got one into the top corner in the 40th minute. Although a slow start for both teams, Oly Town was down 1-0 going into half.

Going into the second half, Oly Town started off strong but fell short when Ballard scored two more in the 50′ and 55′. Oly Town was unable to capitalize on their opportunities and at the final whistle, Ballard FC took a 3-0 win over Oly Town. Oly town dropped to 0-3-0.

Catch the Oly Town USL2 game Saturday, June 4th at 7PM at Civic Stadium vs. Lane United.

NWPL plays Saturday, June 4th at 6PM at Capital Futbol Club vs. Capital FC.

EPLWA will be on the field Saturday, June 4th at 6PM at Mariner High School vs. Everett Jets.
