OLYMPIA, WA — Oly Town FC announced Thursday that professional women’s soccer club, OL Reign, will be honoring the Olympia based Oly Town women’s soccer team from the USL W League at Lumen Field on Saturday, June 10.
The match will feature the OL Reign against Kansas City Current in NWSL league play (National Women’s Soccer League). The partnership includes a promotional ticketing platform for all Oly Town fans and families at olytownfc.com.

“One of the missions at Oly Town is to inspire girls and women in our community by having access to female pro-level soccer” said Oly Town Owner Ryan Perkins. “All professional athletes start somewhere and that’s inspiration. Our soccer community has that access now with this new OL Reign partnership including honoring our Artesian women at the June 10th game at Lumen Field.”

The Artesian women’s head coach Chris Wells has signed a number of standout college players to Oly Town’s USL W League squad including Ava Uribe of (Penn State), Neeku Purcell (UCLA), Alex Schoendstadt (Utah State), Suzuka Yosue (Arizona State) and Mariah Lee (Stanford). Many with connections to the OL Reign Academy or the professional OL Reign side.




Ava Uribe who got her first appearance in the USL W League last Sunday May 14 in a 2-0 win over PDX FC was an OL Reign Academy player in youth and was invited to play with USA Youth National Teams. Uribe is playing her summer ball with the Artesians now through July in the W League before heading back to college.

Forward Alex Schoenstadt lined up in preseason for the OL Reign as a youngster in 2021 to prepare for the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup. Schoenstadt has been playing collegiate soccer while getting her degree from college soccer programs Ole Miss and Utah State University. Schoenstadt committed to the Artesians W League team during the winter and is expected to arrive in June.
“The W League is providing an avenue for players and fans alike to see high level female athletes in the Pacific Northwest and see what it takes to get to that level” said Artesian Assistant Coach Rachel Ross.
Mariah Lee who has been training with Oly Town and preparing for W League competition played previously for the OL Reign and made her debut in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup. Mariah Lee played collegiately at Stanford University and Wake Forest. Lee has recently been on international, pro rosters since graduating and comes to Oly Town with considerable pro experience.

“It’s going to be one of the few places in the country that has this amount of talent that comes together” said Head Artesian Coach Chris Wells. “I think its a unique experience for this Olympia area to see the level of play we’ll be able to offer.”
