OLYMPIA, WA – The Artesian men’s program ended the regular season Friday night just shy of 400 fans and clinched the USL postseason for the first time in club history.
Although the team lost 2-1 against fourth place United PDX, the Artesians sit in second place in a division that takes two teams to the postseason. Ballard FC beating Capital FC 3-1 on Wednesday solidified the table for the top two clubs to prepare for a postseason run that starts next week on July 21st.

Oly Town saw two goalkeepers in last nights match, Seattle University keeper Charlie Lanphier in the first half then Puget Sound University keeper Ryan Saunders in the second. Pavel Valchev of Bulgaria got the lone goal for the Oly Town Artesians on the night. Valchev normally a defender getting his first goal of the year in the USL League Two.
This paves the ways for Oly Town to play July 21st at Interbay Stadium at 2PM against what is rumored to be by bracketology experts in the USL as Monterrey out of the Northern California division.

Oly Town moved two spots from their fourth place finish in 2022 and find themselves in a unique position nationwide sending two teams to the USL national playoffs. Both USL W League and USL League two teams from Oly Town advanced which is a rare feat in the USL to do.
