SEATTLE, WA – The Oly Town men played their first USL playoff match in club history at Interbay Stadium Friday night and put on an offensive spectacle.
Park City Red Wolves traveled from Salt Lake City, Utah as an undefeated #1 seed from the Mountain Division having been one of the only teams in nation to do so.


Oly Town having entered as a #4 seed from the Northwest but second in the division looked to advance to the conference finals that takes place Sunday at Interbay.
The Artesians got on the board midway through the first half after several great chances early with a free kick cross from Federico Russo that found Jack Sluys redirecting header and a put away by Habib Famuditimi to go up 1-0.
Shortly later a well played dribble in the box by Gil De La Luz and low level strike would help the Artesians go into half up 2-0.
The defense was troubled very little with key defensive play from Oly Captain Jack Sluys and Camron Miller. Charlie Lanphier started in goal and got the shutout for the Artesians.
Oly Town would close out the game with several breakaway attacks but saw goals from Camron Miller and Cooper Brunell to complete the melee 4-0.

The win puts the Artesians into the West Coast Finals of the USL League Two Playoffs Sunday at 2PM against in-state rival Ballard FC.
Ballard played New Mexico United late Friday night in front of a packed Seattle crowd and won 2-0. New Mexico was second place on the Mountain Division and couldn’t keep possession against the #1 NW seed Ballard FC.

The conference final showdown between Oly Town and Ballard will cap off a 4-game year between the two clubs. Ballard took two of the matches but Oly Town getting the better of them at their home at Interbay Stadium back in June winning 3-2 playing a man down.

Kickoff is 2PM on Sunday July 23. Winners will advance to the final eight teams in the USL nation.
Oly Town has had a historic run this year having placed fourth in 2022 but made significant changes in coaching and player personnel to now be one of the top teams in the USL2 nation.
Head Oly Town Coach Liviu Bird has experience at this level having coached the U23 Sounders, Kitsap Pumas and being a coaching analyst for the Columbus Crew during their MLS Cup win.
