TUMWATER, Wash. – In front of a raucous full house at Olympia Indoor Soccer, Willie Spurr scored the first goal for the Oly Town Artesians in Western Indoor Soccer League play and notched his second goal of the game as the Artesians mounted a fourth quarter comeback but fell to the Tacoma Stars 8-5 on Saturday night. The game between the two closest teams in the WISL drew a mix of Artesians and Stars fans and made for a fantastic atmosphere in the return of indoor soccer to the Olympia area.

“Tacoma is one of the best teams in the league and we played really well against them,” said Oly Town head coach Nate Salveson. “We made a few mental mistakes early but we played hard and battled back and gave this fantastic crowd a great game in the end.”

Stalnik Scores a Hat Trick but Wild Comeback Dooms Artesians

TUMWATER, Wash. – Matt Stalnik recorded a hat trick for the Oly Town Artesians in a hard fought preseason friendly at Olympia Indoor Soccer on Sunday afternoon. But Seattle Sporting FC completed a five goal fourth quarter when Jordan Correa scored a power play goal with just eight seconds left on the clock to knock off the Artesians 6-5.
