OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Oly Town Artesians men’s outdoor team will open their 2021 season on Saturday, May 22nd with a trip to take on Evergreen Premier League foe Vancouver Victory FC before returning home to Black Hills High School for a first round Washington State Super Cup game against the Harbor Force on Wednesday, May 26th at 7:00 PM.
The Artesians have also scheduled their first women’s game, a home tilt against the Kirkland Goats on Saturday, June 5th at 4:00 PM as the first part of a doubleheader with the men’s side.
The Oly Town men will take part in an abbreviated Evergreen Premier League beginning this weekend. Eight teams return to the fold, broken into two regional pods of four teams. Jason Gjertsen’s side will be in the South Division along with Tacoma Narrows, Vancouver Victory and Yakima United. Each team will play the others once on the road and once at home for a six game regular season, capped off by the EPLWA playoffs with all eight teams participating beginning on the weekend of July 17th.
The Artesians men have four home dates currently scheduled. They will face the Harbor Force in the Washington State Super Cup on Wednesday, May 26th. They will then host Tacoma Narrows on June 5th at 7:00 PM with the Artesians women kicking off against the Kirkland Goats at 4:00. Two more doubleheaders are planned for June 26th with the men facing the Vancouver Victory at 6:30 and the women facing an opponent to be determined at 3:30. Then the regular season comes to an end on July 10th with a visit from Yakima United at 6:30. The women will also play at home that day.
Fans will be permitted at all Oly Town home games this season and the Artesians will follow all state, local and Tumwater School District regulations. Ticket info and more attendance information will be available in the coming days.
