ARENA MEN’S PLAYOFF STRUCTURE

TACOMA, WA – The FC Olympia men’s arena team start their playoff journey Saturday at the Tacoma Soccer Center as they face off against in-conference rival South Sound FC (SSFC). SSFC won the tiebreaker in head to head bylaws to be the host team and have three points on the Artesians from their two meetings this season.

7PM kickoff Saturday February 17 in Tacoma following the women’s home match in Olympia. Artesian supporters are encouraged to plan their day to spend at the pavilion for the 4PM women’s kickoff and then the men’s match at 7PM 30 minutes north on Interstate 5 to catch the men’s playoff.

Manny Nicasio broke the club career goal record in late January, 34 goals and looks to add onto his tally. Coach Boatrights clear number one goalkeeper Isaiah Damschen has had a good year shot stopping and will need to have a big game to give the Artesians a chance at a semifinal run.

If the Artesians win Saturday they would need to travel back to Bellingham to face off against the Hammers in the semifinals. The Hammers are a two seed while Tacoma Stars are in first place and both clubs get an opening playoff round bye to rest their legs. Oly-Pen Force kicks off against Everett City FC in the other playoff match Saturday. That match will be in Everett.
